Supporting you with every bite.
Hi, I'm Ally Sy, a registered dietitian nutritionist focused on holistic, individualized care: a weight-inclusive, non-judgmental, and curious approach to nutrition. I see clients virtually in seven states and in person in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Weekly or biweekly sessions for children, teens, and young adults, whether you are recovering from an eating disorder, navigating ARFID, or working toward a calmer relationship with food. Virtual in California, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, and Virginia, plus in person in the SF Bay Area.
Coaching for parents supporting a child through recovery, aligned with Family-Based Treatment. Meal planning, meal support strategies, and steady guidance through the hard moments.
Case consultation and training for dietitians, therapists, and pediatric teams building skills in eating disorder and ARFID nutrition care.
Talks and trainings on ARFID nutrition management and adolescent eating disorder care for conferences, schools, and clinical teams.
This is not a complete list, just some of the most common reasons people reach out. If you don't see your situation here, please ask. There is a good chance I can help, or point you toward someone who can.
Parents are part of the solution, not the problem. I give families a real role and real tools.
My recommendations come from clinical research, including studies I helped run, not from trends.
Care that is free of diet culture, blame, and body shame. Every body deserves to be nourished.
Many kids with ARFID are autistic or sensory-sensitive. We work with your child's wiring, never against it.
I collaborate closely with your child's therapist, physician, and treatment team.
Progress that respects where your family actually is. No pressure, no ultimatums.

Parent of a former client
"Yay! I love Ally. It was just my eating disorder that I didn't."
Former teen client
"Ally embodies the value of Service Excellence. She provides excellent education to families, compassion, and specialized knowledge, and she manages to exhibit grace and calmness even with families who challenge her. Ally is a great team member, central to the recovery of her patients."
Lori Campanella Durand, LCSW, former colleague

I co-edited the first multidisciplinary clinical handbook dedicated to ARFID in adolescents, published by Springer in 2026, bringing together psychology, psychiatry, occupational therapy, and nutrition. The same clinical depth shapes every session with the families I see.
